23 Unfinished Treasure Tubes |
So here is some incentive to leave a reply and give me some ideas for these little guys. Leave a word you would like to see on a treasure tube, I will draw a name at random from those who have left a reply for a free tube with your word. This is for the tube only no necklace will be included, I would love to see what you can create for the necklace. If you have a blog and you win, it would be great if you could post your finished tube. Please let me know if you do and I will promote your blog in a post.
The drawing will be held Sunday, November 20th so that you have some time to think this over.
The tube I send you will not look as rough as these, it will be scrubbed clean, sanded, patinaed, and waxed. It will look like the second photo.

Oh, my, what a beautiful little pile of tubes! I've been admiring your tubes for ages and hope one day to make one of my own. In the meantime, I'd sure LOVE winning one from you. I too have problems with the words leaving my brain when I need to place them on an art piece. The first words that come to my mind right now, for every day living, are "be free". I know that was Mork's mantra, but how true it should be for all of us, no matter what we believe in.
ReplyDeleteOops! I also meant to say in the above comment, "Thank you!" for the opportunity to win one of your little treasures!!

I love these treasure tubes!! Would it work as a focal/clasp on a bracelet? Or is the cap too loose to hold that way on a bracelet? I think it would look cool as a bracelet with some artisan lampwork beads & copper wirework!! If I won, I would keep it for myself so I think I'd like my name on it (ALICIA)!! I have to post anonymously even thought I'm not as I follow your blog as myself. Alicia Coats
ReplyDeleteLOVE these! And word jewelry is totally my thing. I pick a word each year to work on. Last year I picked two: INSPIRE and UP. This year I picked one: FOCUS. I have been really challenged by my word this year. I also like the word BREATHE. I haven't been taking good care of myself these past few years and just leaving breathing room in my day would be a vast improvement! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day.

I love these and what a wonderful opportunity! My words would be I CAN. :)
ReplyDeletethanks

The words that are coming to mind (trying to keep them short for size) are "keep" or "hold". I envision putting tiny objects that are "near" or "dear" to my "heart" inside and would love the opportunity to design with one! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI always like "Peace" but maybe "Time" would be more creative. Too bad there's not room for a phrase like: "Piece of my mind!" Others that come to mind are "Sunshine," "Magic," and "Pixie Dust." I don't know if there would be room for "Pixie Dust" but that would be my personal favorite! Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteThose are great! I would love one...I love "Peace" but I already see that :o) I think another good one would be "Persevere" - less kitschy than the "Keep Calm and Carry On" but a nice reminder to keep going on the days when you have to...
ReplyDeleteOr "Listen" - that would be a good one for people like me who have to learn (and remember) to listen to our bodies when they tell us we've done enough for the day...
Oh, I love a word challenge. You didn't say how many letters you could get on it, so this one might be too long~~God-Breathed. It comes from: All scripture is God breathed. And I would definitely love to make a necklace with it and post it. Thank you for such a great giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteOh they are so lovely I think the word Phalerate would suit them down to the ground I belive its an old english word not used any more meaning decorated; made beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love all the ideas and don't know what one is my favorite but it looks like I need to figure out a way to get more letters on the tube!
ReplyDeleteI love these tubes!!! I can't believe you made so many at one time!
ReplyDeleteSo many times I fail to remember all the things I have been blessed with, so if I won, I would use the word blessings as a reminder.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I think Simply would be my word. thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite words is dream. I would love to see one with that on it! I love your work and thanks for the chance to win.:)
ReplyDeleteI love your little tubes and would love to win one. My word would be 'family' because my family is the most important thing to me. Although I think other great words/inspiration could be 'friends', 'I'm unique', 'Free to be Me', 'Be True to Yourself'.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
This would be such fun to work with -- and my word would be "sing". Or if it fit, "find your song". Thanks for sharing your creativity!
ReplyDeleteYour treasure tubes are fantastic! My tube would read: TRUE LOVE. -carolyn c.
ReplyDeleteCreate!
ReplyDeleteI think my one word would be "Believe"
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of my life's mantra. I even have that word tattooed on my wrist as a daily reminder! :)
Thank you for the opportunity :D
I commented early on, and what fun to come back and see what new ones have been written!
ReplyDeleteWhen I started reading Alice's comment, I got this far, "So many times I fail to remember..." and thought I knew what she was going to say. She took a higher road--it's me with me memory problem!
What I need is one that says "Remember." I could tuck small notes in for myself throughout the day! When I would take it off, the message would remind me to look inside! (I'm thinking there might be a big market for this one!)
Have fun and thanks for letting us join along!
Oh, wow! Thank you for doing this! I'd love to win one!
ReplyDeleteNo rules!
ReplyDeleteHeart ya!
I love your creations, I would love to win.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the word "Happiness" and I would use bright colors for the chain and keep little notes or pictures which make me happy.
Thanks!
Cilla
