Northern Michigan Bead & Jewelry Show

Today I am getting packed up so I can leave tomorrow for the Northern Michigan Bead & Jewelry Show up in Cadillac.  I look forward to this show every year because in my opinion it is all the best Michigan bead makers showing their amazing work. The creator of this show Chris Fisher works hard to advertise the show and secure a great location in the Cadillac Junior High Cafeteria.  This show will run Saturday April 14th from 9-5 so if you have some free time and don't know what to do with it take a drive up and see all the beautiful jewelry, beads and supplies.

I just can't seem to stop making these bracelets.  They fit so well and the combination of possible colors are endless.

I got a few more bracelets finished today and am really pleased with how they turned out. These were taking in natural light, the rich greens, blues and purples just don't get caught on digital well.  I hope some of you will be able to see these in person at shows this summer.

New Work

Today was spent working on a new design that turned out even better than I had dreamed.  The bracelet is constructed with a double layer of copper sheet riveted together.  The top layer of copper was  treated with a special fused silver texture that adds a wonderful rustic feel to the piece.  A mix of handmade beads and other sparkling goodies wiggle and dance when the bracelet is worn.
