Do you have pretty silverware?

Silverware Stamped Necklaces
Take a look at your silverware, does it have a fun design?  You may have the makings for some cute jewelry, I used the top of a fork found at Goodwill to make the long thin metal sections of these little necklaces. Silverware often has very delicate designs not found anyplace else and if you look around you can often find great designs at the second hand store.

  1. Lovely necklaces! I've been meaning to try this with polymer clay - thanks for the reminder! :-)

  2. Fabulous idea! I've been hoarding a few pieces of pretty silverware to try to use like this. I'd love to know how you cut and made the holes in yours as I'm not quite sure what tools would be best. I'd hate to ruin those pieces with the wrong tools.
Thanks for sharing and these are lovely pieces!

  3. Hope, I think you missunderstood my blog post. I didn't cut up silverware I simply used it as a stamp to press an immage into my metal clay :) I could only make one if I cut up silverware but by using the top of the fork to make an impression into the clay I can use it over and over.
