All in a day's work

Well maybe more like several days.

I have been a busy bee down in my studio and have to say that I'm addicted to making these little bezel treasures, I learned how to make these in Stephanie Lee's Homesteader's Metalsmithing E-Course  If she offers this again and you haven't taken it do, it's worth every penny and there really isn't any better way to learn than with your own tools at your pace.  She offers detailed videos, print out's and personal email answers, the month of class flew by way to quickly and I am slowly putting everything I have learned into pieces of jewelry.  Next up is making necklaces and bracelets out of all of these beauties.

It's hard to believe how absolutely clear the Ice Resin is, I have used several other resins in another class I took at the KIA and the Ice Resin is by far the best.

After my bezels were all filled with the Ice Resin they had to set for a day so I made these little rustic bird houses.  They are wood, stained, sprayed with Krylon satin finish and then capped with a copper roof, it's all held together with a double loop galley wrap. These measure from 3/4 inch tall to just over 1 1/2 inch tall.  I have plans to use these with my glass birds.
